For installation you will need the following:

• DVR
• Cameras
• Video cable and power cable for each camera (I suggest using the preset cables because there is no need to connect any video plugs or power plugs to each end of the cable)
• 1 central camera power supply or few individual power supplies for each camera
• Monitor to view the DVR (if the DVR has VGA output you can use your computer screen)
• Newtork router if you want to view over the internet.

Place all cameras in their position then run the wire between the DVR and the cameras.

On the DVR side make sure you have all cables coming to one place.

Connect all cameras power line to power supply and all video line to the back of the DVR where it says "video in" 1,2,3...

Connect the monitor to the VGA output or a monitor to the "video out" output.

From here you will need to follow the manufacturer instructions for specific configuration settings.

If you want to connect the DVR to the internet, you will need to run another cable from your DSL or Cable modem to the DVR and follow the instructions from the manual.
